One of my New Year Resolutions was to keep cleaner and more organized home. If any of you follow me on Pinterest, you’ll see that I have a board called “Cleaning Tips” where I pin a lot of cleaning calendars, cleaning tips and home organization tips. Now that I’m off on mat leave, I feel like I should be able to keep a more organized, less cluttered house (other than all the baby gear, blankets, and toys laying around!) And once I get the organization and cleaning thing under control, I can then focus on home decor and work on adding character and personality to our house. (Is there a home decorating challenge out there somewhere?!)
Through Facebook, I came across this Home Organization Challenge . The challenge walks you through a process to clean and declutter your home in 14 weeks. My favourite part of this challenge is that there are free checklists for each of the weeks, to ensure that you follow an efficient and effective process. The challenge starts this Saturday, January 7th, and Week #1 is the Kitchen! Very fitting, considering this is a food blog! This is going to be a challenging first week for me, as I have some pretty disastrous areas in the kitchen that I’m afraid to tackle (junk drawer, anyone?!)
